COMPETITION STUDIO - TEL AVIV UNIVERSITY Proposal for Kiara Looro 2023 competition Our design embodies a balance between structure and freedom, enhancing traditional schooling within the open landscape of Senegal. The school integrates a rammed earth freeform wall, echoing local architecture while accommodating a structured grid of study and administrative areas. This wall forms a versatile corridor for classrooms, and offers storage, seating, and view lines, thus promoting interaction with the courtyard and its heart - a baobab tree, surrounded by terraces for communal activities. The wall also acts as a structural spine for a pergola, and its curvature creates dynamism, bridging the divide between interior and exterior, between the frame and freedom. The project has been published on the most popular architecture competition website- "Competitions.Archi"
